Religion in South Asia and Southeast Asia
How did Hinduism in Southeast Asia contradict the religious views of Islam in South Asia in the 19 century?
When you write your paper make sure you look at the chart we made and maybe add something about how the majority of Muslims are in Pakistan and the majority of Hindu's are in India.
I like this topic - its relavent to both class activities and current events. However, your question pre-supposes that there is a contradiction between Hinduism & Islam. You need to re-write the question to be more open-ended AND to consider cause-and-effect. Finally, it will probably be easier to focus on the second half of the 20th century based on class activities.

ReplyDeleteThis is a very good question and we have a lot of notes already! This will also be easy to find more information about to fill in any holes.
ReplyDeleteGood question, although you may want to specify which views on the religion.
