How did religious and philosophical traditions influence the role of women in Pre-Communist China and Protestant Reformation Europe?
I like how this is worded. It's very specific with time periods and locations, which is on track with the requirements for the historical question. Maybe in the essay you can show comparisons between the two.
Very interesting. Often it is difficult to adequately compare two different areas AND two different time periods. However, if you sufficiently focus your research, you should be able to identify trends/areas that can be compared. A suggestion - you might want to examine how the roles of women changed with industrialization in Europe (Britain) and China (post-communist revolution).
